“Washington State’s Role in Feeding the Hungry World”

Tim McGreevy is the CEO of USA Dry Pea and Lentil Council as well as CEO for the American Pulse Association.

Have you enjoyed the Lentil and Pea salad at Huckleberry’s for lunch lately?

It is so in vogue, and delicious! Next year is the International Year of Pulses (dry beans peas, lentils, and chickpeas), and Washington State could be a big economic winner. These humble foods are poised to feed the world through his efforts with GPC (Global Pulse Confederation) to increase the global trade of pulse crops.

Mr. McGreevy has both a B.A. and an M.A. from Washington State University. His work involves everything “from the farm to the fork,” plus working on pulse research, school feeding programs, and policy priorities. He will tell you why this is important and impactful information.
